At Whitland Dental Co, the 3Shape Trios 3 intraoral scanner has transformed the way we deliver restorative care. Digital scans are sent instantly and securely to our laboratory, significantly reducing our outgoing post, material waste, and carbon footprint. Clinically, research confirms that crowns based on the Trios 3 show statistically significantly better marginal and internal adaptation before cementation compared to conventional impressions. The scanner's automatic occlusion registration captures the patient's bite in real time, removing the manual step of bite alignment and resulting in more accurate, better-fitting restorations. Shade matching has also improved - the Trios 3 captures teeth and gingiva in natural colours for precise shade matching with the laboratory, making the aesthetic results of our crowns, veneers and restorations more predictable and lifelike. For our patients, this means fewer remakes, fewer appointments, and restorations that look and feel exactly right.
