In March 2025, Whitland Dental Co underwent an announced inspection by Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW), conducted by two HIW healthcare inspectors and a dental peer reviewer. The inspection assessed three key areas: Quality of Patient Experience, Delivery of Safe and Effective Care, and Quality of Management and Leadership.

Patient feedback was overwhelmingly positive — 15 out of 17 patients rated the service as "very good" and all respondents stated they found it easy to get an appointment when needed. Patients commented: "Excellent service, friendly and comforting. Professional and up to date staff and facilities" and "Since it's been taken over, I feel as though I am getting better treatment, and it is easier to get an appointment." One patient noted: "I have always received 1st class attention and treatment in spite of all the changes and improvements going on behind the scenes."

Inspectors noted that staff were engaging, knowledgeable, and supportive of one another, with evidence of staff completing training above mandatory requirements. Safeguarding procedures were described as comprehensive and up to date, patient records were maintained to a good standard, and appointment management and emergency triage systems were found to be robust. No immediate concerns were identified during the inspection.
